Channel 4 is being especially nice to comedy music stars this year by giving a couple of them a chance to show off their skills in TV pilots. The 4funnies series is highlighting new comic talent, and among them are comedy-songs.com's favourites the Rubberbandits and Nick Helm .
First up is the Rubberbandits (Blindboy Boat Club and Mr Chrome to their friends) and you can catch songs and sketches from the two surreal Irish plastic-bag wearing rappers on Channel 4 (in the UK) at 11.15pm tonight. The episode was directed by Declan Lowney who also directed Father Ted.
Then on 14 December at 11.25pm you can see Nick Helm in Uncle as an out-of work musician forced to look after his 11 year-old nephew on the day he was planning to kill himself.
Also getting a pilot is Dr Brown (played by Phil Burgers, hit of the 2010 (and 2011) Edinburgh Festival) - you can still see this on 4OD - and Brian Gittins, who you can also see in Ricky Gervais's new series Derek.
Back to the Rubberbandits though, and here's a sneak preview of tonight's show, showing the Rubberbandits' thoughts on how to deal with Danny Dyer...
