Before we go any further I have to point out that my only source of information for this story is The Sun newspaper. I, of course, would never impugn this mighty bastion of British publishing, but I just thought I would make this clear at the start.
Anyway, according to The Sun, comedian Harry Hill has been given a recording contract by Universal Records to make an album of his material including "comic songs and other funny stuff".
This isn't Harry's first foray into recorded music, he previously sang funny prog-rock songs on his 'long-awaited concept album' entitled 'The First Meeting Of The International Recipe Card Top Trump Society' for Brown Dog Records in 2007. It was, to put it in a word, bizarre.
However, for this new album, The Sun reports that its mystery source said: "Harry has always featured some daft songs in his act and this is his way to reach a new audience. There will be some familiar stuff and entirely new material."
